On August 20, 1869, the first of our direct Klitz ancestors arrived to the United States.

Who were they?

Where did they come from?

Why did the leave their homes and all they knew?

Why did they settle in Nebraska?

We are developing a wonderful program to answer these questions and to celebrate the 150 years of our family being in America.

Events include:

A visit to and a home mass at the Klitz Farm Homestead

Presentations on the life and times of our ancestors in Prussia, and on the life and times of our family in Nebraska.

Displays of Family artifacts and heirlooms

LOTS of delicious German-American-Nebraskan Food

And most importantly, time with our entire family to acknowledge and celebrate each other and our family.
